Grrrrrrrrrrrr....its coming back to haunt me.  I had a POTS episode Thursday night and Friday night while running.  While I've had a history with it, I cannot tell you the last time I've had any issues come up.  I guess it was in the spring?  If even then?  I had almost all but forgotten about it.  Monday night I had a great run, Tuesday I had a great swim, and Wednesday I had a great bike workout.  When I say great about all of these, I mean good and hard, but I felt strong at the end, not positively exhausted.  However, come Thursday evening, on a measly little 2 mile run, it came back.  Seriously?  Really?  Now?  Why?  The lack of predictability of this stupid thing has been the most frustrating part - not necessarily knowing what causes it or what makes the symptoms go away.  Thursday I went on to do our weightlifting class and felt okay, but decided to skip on on my swim workout and get some rest.  ...

My co-worker's bike was just stolen off his car here in Austin at the Domain at 8:30 this morning.  Please let me know if you happen to come across it.  I know posting here is a long shot, but worth a try. Halfmax was my "A" race of the season.  I wasn't sure how prepared I actually was going into it, but I was as prepared as I was going to be for anything after moving and traveling for work and just life in general. I drove to Houston Wednesday night and grabbed a quick dinner with Kim and Monica before heading to Robin's house for the night.  It was sooo great to see some of my Houston friends!  My parents met us at the airport in the morning and we arrived in Myrtle Beach in the early afternoon.  The resort was very nice and our suite was awesome - I'd call it a condo instead of a suite, and it was very similar to the place we stayed for Ironman Florida.  Mom, Robin, and I went to the grocery store Thursday night to stock our condo kitchens and the amount of food we bought was quite hilarious.  I realized just how hard it must have been for mom to say "no" every time I wanted to throw something in the grocery cart as a kid.  Because now I see s...

Cancer still sucks . Please keep Greg and his family in your prayers, especially on Friday.  He's having surgery to remove a tumor in his back.  Please pray the surgery goes well and that they are able to rid him of cancer once and for all.  Cancer already took his wife two years ago - it doesn't get to take him too. I came across Sarah's blog on a friend's facebook page yesterday and spent nearly two hours reading and listening to/watching.  Sarah is a young, beautiful newlywed currently in the fight of her life.  Please pray for her and her family - she still has a LOT of joy to spread and needs a full lifetime to do so.
